Simply fantastic. I burned through it immediately. I don’t know enough about the making of these to name all the individual things that were done well: All I can say is that everything – from the voice acting itself, to the ambiance and effects – was perfect. Would buy again, eagerly awaiting Season 2.

Seriously. Season 2. Get on it.

I was lucky enough to go to The Dracula Files screening party on Sunday and hear the full part 1. It was incredible. The voice acting and sound effects creating the “found audio” quality made me feel like I was really listening to these characters talk about their lives. Most of part 1 focused on Jonathan’s business trip to meet Dracula, a count who wants to close a deal and move to San Francisco. What started as an exciting adventure for Jonathan subtly and dramatically shifted until he realized he was facing a monster. If you love found audio media or modern adaptations of classics like The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, you’ll love The Dracula Files. Can’t wait for the next season.

I really enjoyed this drama, and the “found-footage” style of presentation. It’s a novel take on the Dracula mythos, and I especially liked Jonathan’s one-sided narration into his ever-draining iPhone as he started realizing what he was getting into. The ending caught me by surprise, and I can’t wait for season two!

I am a fan of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and when I heard “remake,” I will admit there was some skepticism there. However, I am not too big to admit how wrong I was.

The Dracula Files kept me hooked from minute one as this fast paced rendition of the vampire classic kept my heart pounding and both my husband and I on the edges of our seats the entire way through. We actually listened to the entire series in one sitting, which is incredibly rare for us.

Also, major props on tying in the current era by use of cell phones—the “count down” of battery power was absolutely genius. Seriously, amazing work guys. My husband and I can’t wait for season two.
